Architect’s Arena, by Studio Datum, is an architectural office on the banks of the river Ganga in Uttarakhand. The office design is conceptualized to connect two rectangular blocks by an open bridge to experience the view around the site.
One among these rectangular blocks is placed in a filled manner to eliminate the linear form of the space in between the forms and to increase the cone of vision of the site.
As the Uttarakhand state has north-east wind movement, the amphitheatre is placed accordingly as the wind can easily flow through the open space and atom throughout the building from that space. The concrete blocks are carved out to create openings and views. Through the two solid concrete blocks, fine lines of glass bands are passed which act as the opening of the building.

This building is categorized based on formal and informal spaces such as work stations station conference room and offices respectively These 2 blocks are connected only through a bridge which breaks the solidness of the build forms.

The studio space and admin block function separately and are connected through a bridge which acts as a fine line between the formal space and informal space. The movement through the bridge gives us an overwhelming experience.
The concept pushes the idea of co-working space while it also gives designers a separate space according to their comfort as each individual has different design roles and thus wants a different set-up for his work.

The section is cut through the studio space where we can see the play of levels where one can have a different experience according to their mood.
