Transitional spaces within university campuses, when designed to be more dynamic and experiential, can significantly enhance the spatial experience, support diverse activities, and foster stronger social and ethnic connections. By strategically intervening
in the current restrictive, under-surveillance, and rigid planning of these campuses, it is possible to create vibrant social, cultural, learning, and interactive hubs that better integrate natural and built environments, thereby improving the relationship between public and private spaces as well as planned and unplanned areas.
This study posits that such interventions will lead to more inclusive, flexible, and engaging campus environments, particularly within the context of Indian educational institutions.
